Hello, and greetings! My name is Ke’xia (kuh-see-ya) Draper and I was born and raised in San Francisco. I am a mother of two, ages 3 and 1. Having experienced the birth of my children, furthered my compassion and understanding of the importance of being involved in such a sacred time.
Throughout my life, I have been on a quest to know which type of service that I had a passion for. From wanting to be a veterinarian to going to college to study Nursing, I finally found what I love; being a doula/birth keeper! I have had the pleasure of servicing birthing parents since 2020. I was trained, lovingly, with Cornerstone Doula Services as a full spectrum doula. In future years, my goal is to become a midwife, either traditional or CNM.
As practicing as a doula/birth keeper, I have grown to honor this miraculous time while empowering parents to own every moment of their experience. I’ve also understood the importance to advocate women on every aspect (spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional) by supporting your decision to create the birth of your choice. It will be my pleasure to accompany you through this time!
"Ke’xia was such a wonderful partner in my pregnancy and birth! During my pregnancy she was proactive about reaching out to me and my partner to offer support and information. She helped us understand our options and craft a plan that felt right for our family. My water broke 2 weeks early and Ke’xia still made sure she was available and present. During my labor and delivery she helped us navigate unexpected decisions and the hospital system. She made sure our birth plan was known and respected. I’m so grateful that Ke’xia was a part of my pregnancy and birth! She helped us create a joyful and positive experience. Having her support a text or call away made me feel so much more confident and empowered in navigating the challenges of becoming a first time mom."
