Acupuncture aligns perfectly with her philosophy of keeping things as natural as possible. Her own birth experiences have shaped how she guides women, helping them feel empowered and trusting in their bodies. When she's not supporting births, you can find her practicing yoga or enjoying nature.

Doula Talia

Talia Alarcon is a trained birth and postpartum doula and completed an apprenticeship lead by our founder, Jennifer Darwin. She transitioned away from a delightful 20+ year profession in healthcare management and chose to train as a doula, a career where she can nurture her path of service to others. Part of her role as a doula is empowering families by listening to their birth goals and holding space for them to make informed decisions. Her goal is that the birthing person and team feel confident and grounded. Her greatest joy is that she is a mother to my favorite human beings, her two boys.

Our Birth Doulas work together as a team to make sure that you have an experienced doula for your labor. You will have a primary doula who meets with you during your pregnancy to make sure you have the skills and confidence to begin your journey into labor. On the rare occasion your primary doula is unable to attend your birth you will have an on-call backup doula from the group to support you.  Our Labor Doulas have years of experience and have attended hundreds of births in the Bay Area. All the Doulas in our practice provide you with evidence-based information for your pregnancy and birth.
