Welcoming your baby is a joyful and life-changing experience—but your body and mind may need time, care, and support to recover. After birth, it’s common not to see your provider for several weeks.
This class is designed to help you navigate the crucial postpartum period. You’ll learn how to support your physical recovery and begin adjusting to life as a parent with confidence and care.
Once your baby arrives, you'll have many questions about care, feeding, and healthy habits for your newborn. The GGDA team have designed this workshop to share their expertise and knowledge in order to get you off to a new start with your new baby. You'll learn what to expect during the first few weeks of your baby's life. Some of the topics may include diapering, bathing, swaddling, burping, and carseat safety.
Learn how to care for your most precious new edition to your family!
Learn what works and doesn't work for achieving maximum comfort during late term pregnancy from the Doula experts of GGDA. Be prepared for the unexpected...learn what to do if labor begins early and unexpectedly.
Topics will include: Introduction to Labor Pain, Non-Medical and Medical Pain Relief Options, Pros and Cons of an Epidural, Creating a Supportive Birth Environment, and a Q&A session with the birth doulas.
"Before baby is on-the go” Learn how to safely care for your baby during those first few precious months following their arrival.
We will go over carseat setup and safety protocols that will help ease your nail biting first car ride home from the hospital. We will also cover topics such as baby wearing techniques, how to prevent choking hazards, and water safety and bathing tips.
Every Month, the GGDA Doulas will host a 90 minute Workshop to help prepare you for your birth and postpartum period. This is a great way to learn and meet the whole GGDA On-Call Doula Team! These workshops are included at no charge to clients of GGDA. We do record these Workshops in case you miss one (or just want to re-watch them)! All new and expecting parents are welcome to attend. The more the merrier!
