Golden Gate Doulas are pleased to have Doula Celenia Mueller Martinez as part of our apprentice birth doula team! She is a natural with newborns and loves to share all her tips and tricks with new parents. She has worked as a professional childcare provider and postpartum doula for 16 years in the San Francisco Area. She feels that she has been able to form lifelong bonds with all the families she has worked with and that each family she has supported has made her a better doula. Her caring personality puts new parents at ease and she prides herself on the trust she earns from them. She has a good eye for tiny details and loves to help you navigate the unpredictable new parent journey by helping establish healthy feeding and sleeping routines. 

She previously worked as a nanny taking care of siblings of all different ages, babies, toddlers, and twins. She has helped many families as they have transitioned a newborn into a family with older siblings. 

Celenia is a dual citizen of El Salvador and the United States, she speaks Spanish and English and studied Modern Languages and Literature at the university of El Salvador. She has a passion for working with children and seeing them grow and getting to share their milestones with their parents. She feels it is a truly unique experience and an honor to be able to look back and reflect on all the families she has worked for.

Celenia has lived in the Bay Area for over 16 years and enjoys hiking and traveling when she is not supporting new families.
