Originally from the Midwest, Emma decided to move to the Bay Area to continue supporting more families as a Postpartum Doula. Her mission as a doula is to nurture and empower individuals and families throughout their postpartum lives by providing care with compassion and respect. She loves to help families around the house by cooking meals, folding laundry, and anything else to make their lives easier. Her warm and caring nature as well as her gentle confidence will put families at ease while helping them navigate the addition of their little one.

She likes to meet families where they are while supporting their healing, rest, and overall physical and emotional well-being. She has experience with toddlers and enjoys helping them adjust to having a younger sibling in the home. One of the things families like most about Emma is that she is always looking for anything extra she can help out with as you adjust to your new routine with your baby.

When Emma isn't working, she likes to cook, read, and spend time outdoors.

"Emma was my postpartum doula after my second child was born. She was the first postpartum doula I’d worked with and I cannot imagine my postpartum experience without her in it. She was intuitive, kind, helpful, thoughtful, gentle, funny and graceful with me, my toddler, my partner and my newborn as we all navigated our new lives together. With her help, I was able to sleep so much more than I did in those first few weeks after my first pregnancy, as she helped with night care for my son. She also helped my healing with her gentle nature, amazing cooking abilities, and open-hearted presence. If I was going to have more kids, she would be an integral part of my postpartum team. 11 out of 10 recommend!"

"We were so fortunate to get matched to Emma, another caring, capable, and patient night doula at GGDA. When Emma stepped in, our baby's sleep was improving but still inconsistent. With Emma, our son's sleep extended further. Emma tracked his sleep patterns and anything that seemed to help him stay asleep longer, and shared this info with us so we could also improve on nights she wasn't there. Our son gradually started to sleep longer and established a more regular pattern. Through the ups and downs with our son's sleep, Emma was a pleasure to work with, upbeat and patient with our hungry little guy. Emma (and Varya!) seemed to genuinely enjoy being with our son, even when he was difficult, and this was such a relief and blessing. It's wonderful to get a good night of sleep knowing a caring, capable, and responsible person is watching over your infant."
