This program allows couples to be prepared for whatever their birth looks like. It is not about having a natural birth; it is about owning and being active participants in your births. Parents and babies deserve a gentle and calm birth experience; it is such a crucial transitioning experience for both parents and babies. Learning practical techniques to relax and assist your body in doing what it knows more effectively and comfortably leads to shorter labors and easier births. Supporting a positive approach to pregnancy and birth helps parents feel more relaxed, confident, and content. The daily practice of relaxation techniques helps you break from your daily routine, lower your stress levels, and most importantly, connect with your baby.
During this 6 week class series, you will learn simple breathing techniques, guided and self-relaxation, visualization, healthy habits, explore your birth options and preferences, and the latest neuroscience research to help you achieve a normal, calm, and more comfortable pregnancy and birth.
If you want to sign up for the next series or want to learn more, please reach out to Alicia Contreras. There are limited spots available for the in-person series and the zoom series. Each series is composed of 6 weekly classes of 2.5 hours per class.
This in-person class will give you the peace of mind you need so you can confidently respond to an emergency with your baby or toddler. Perfectly suited for new parents, expecting parents, grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, siblings, nannies, as a refresher, or anyone who you plan to have care for your baby!
During birth, babies descend through the pelvis by turning to fit each curve in the passage. Baby’s turns are “fetal rotation.” If fetal rotation can be made easier, birth is easier for everyone. Your baby will move into the space that is available to them! Learn how to create and maintain space in your body to counteract the effects of modern society. Having supple, hydrated tissues can help to decrease pain and increase ease with pregnancy, labor and birth!
*Understand basic anatomy of the uterus and pelvis with respect to pregnancy and birth
*Learn daily activities to maintain balance your body
*Incorporate ways to move and rest in a smart way to promote space
*Learn tools to use to facilitate ease as your baby navigates down through your pelvis
*Understand how different positions can help with common symptoms during pregnancy
*Connect with your baby: Learn how to feel how your baby is positioned in your belly
